Can we talk?

Hi there, well after our snowy, blizzar-y, whiteout weekend a weeks ago....I had plenty of time to catch up on  a bunch of movies both old and new. I loved rewatching  old favorites and of course relish discovering  a new favorite. How about you? Do you enjoy rewatching old favorites over and over again or do you always enjoy the surprise of discovering something new?  There are so many and on any given day (when my memory is in good working order) I might remember an old favorite, but below are some of my all time favorites, ones that never seem to get old. I find myself laughing or crying like it was the first time I have ever seen it....amazing how certain flicks can prompt those emotions in us over and over. So....I would love to know what are some of your favorites? Anything new and great or old and wonderful that you want to share? Please tell, I have nothing on my agenda until tonight and would love a good recommendation! Cheers to lazy Sundays!!

Can we talk?

Hi there! I am so happy to be presenting another installment of my new series,  Can we talk? Last week it was all about makeup (and boy did I get some incredible information)  and  today's post is for all you book lovers and I know there's lots of you out there! I feel pretty certain this is a subject that a lot of us love to talk about and have definite opinions on. Sadly, I do not read like I used to. I used to be what some might call a voracious reader, as in the minute I was finishing a book,  I was already starting another. Those days (at least for now) are behind me. Now its one book at a time, and not quite as often as I would like.......

 Just too much going on and by the time my weary body hits the pillow at night, I am asleep faster than you can say "turn the page". That said, I still do love to read and get excited when I find a new book to delve into. I have read many great books over my lifetime and a few not so great and I thought this would make a fun topic for all of us to gab about and share! So here are some top picks from the last year or so, and I definitely want to hear your ideas!! I am looking for a few great new suggestions.

 Have you read any of these? A few are older, and a few brand new reads. All I thoroughly enjoyed for different reasons. How about you? Whats your favorite genre? Book? Author? Your turn...cannot wait to hear what's on your nightstand! Enjoy your day and until tomorrow.....

Can we talk?

Hello there and happy Sunday evening to you!  I am starting something new.... a new series, "Can we talk". Thiis will be a post for all of us to get in on the conversation. I believe and say it often that one of the huge perks of blogging is the incredible exchange of information, tips, advice, its truly amazing. I personally have learned so much and the same thing from my readers.

So this will be a day to discuss anything and everything. It could be interior design trends, movies, books, beauty products, clothing trends, design tips, you name it...nothing is off limits (well I don't really mean nothing:)

So today's first post in this series is being kicked off with the subject of beauty products. Lets face it...we all love them, have them and use them. Some more than others. Some rely on Burt's Bees lip balm and maybe a moisturizing whereas others have an entire arsenal that could make up every face in a small African country. And to my male readers......you are included here!  I know my "non product loving' husband could benefit from your expertise!  I personally love products, I am truly a kid in a candy shop when I walk into a store like Sephora....that is where my ADD really comes to light:)

So...below are 7 products I use and buy religiously. I love them, have used them for years and they are just part of my everyday routine. So, now its your turn. What are your go to products? What can you just not live without? Makeup, skin care, body care, hair care....you name it. We want to know!
